PancrePlus Tablets are a pancreatic enzyme concentrate of porcine origin. It is indicated as a digestive aid in replacement therapy, where the digestion of protein, carbohydrates, and fat is inadequate due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. Optimal dosage levels have not been established, but oral supplementation using fat-soluble vitamins is widely recommended and accepted.
In cats and dogs with pancreatic insufficiency, serum concentrations of fat-soluble vitamins E, D3, and A are typically sub-normal. In these cases, these levels may not increase solely in response to enzyme treatment.
