The snow capacity will depend on the support structure and the purlin spacing. 24-inch Purlin Spacing: 74 psf snow/wind load 30-inch Purlin Spacing: 62 psf snow/wind load 36-inch Purlin Spacing: 50 psf snow/wind load 42-inch Purlin Spacing: 37 psf snow/wind load 48-inch Purlin Spacing: 25 psf snow/wind load Rafter-Only Installation: 40 psf max load

Q: Can the sheets be added to for extra length?

  • A: Hi Steve57, No, you cannot safely stack or overlap Sunscape Polycarbonate Sheets end-to-end to create extra length. Doing so compromises the structural integrity, ruins the glass-like aesthetic, and prevents the specialized aluminum locking profiles from sealing correctly, which will cause leaks.
