Sprayer bottle stopped working

Product is fine but the sprayer bottle is junk. Stopped working 1/3 of way through bottle. Had to buy a new sprayer bottle just to transfer remaining product so I could use it. An no, not the batteries. I changed them. Disappointed.

Let's go over some troubleshooting:
-Be sure that the connector at the end of the hose is firmly attached to the cap. *you should hear a distinct click once attached correctly*
-Make sure the spout is sticking straight up
-Check the twist cap and ensure that it is fully pointing to "ON" -Ensure that the wand is completely extended into the open position.
-Ensure that the nozzle is completely set to one of the 3 spray patterns. * If between settings, it will not work correctly*
-Can you hear a motor running? If not, Is the trigger lock disengaged? Is the battery strip on the battery pack removed? *If the trigger is disengaged and the plastic strip is removed, and the motor is still not running, change the batteries.
-If you hear the motor running, potentially the siphon tube and sprayer need to be reprimed. *This is done by placing the container above the wand (either holding it above or setting it on something) and spraying for 30 seconds*
-Lastly, the sprayer tip may be clogged. Soak the sprayer tip ONLY in warm soapy water for 10-15 minutes to dislodge any residue that may have crystallized in the sprayer tip.

The jug advertises that it starts killing in one hour. It's been two weeks now since I sprayed it on the poison ivy near my patio. The only thing that has happened is the ivy has grown by leaps and bounds, without killing anything. This stuff is expensive, and that's a lot of money to spend on a product that does not do what it promises.

I used this spray on two different areas in my yard. One area was a small patch of poison ivy, and the other area was a thick patch of poke. It took a few days before they started to die, but after about a week the poke and poison ivy were completely dead. The spray is ready to use as is. The battery-powered spray wand made it mess-free and easy to use.

Great product. Had some weeds around the yard that wouldn't go away after using some other products. Used this and all weeds that it was applied to were dead in a few days and have not returned. Loved the battery powered sprayer. It made easy work of a normally daunting task.

Pre-mixed Ortho Weed Killer with a wand is just so easy to use. You can just grab it off the shelf and go to work. The earlier you can catch the weed, the better this groundclear killer works. The wand allows you to get a more precise spray. I use it to kill weeds along the fence and on the hill. It does take 2-3 applications and I first see noticeable results in a week or two. Ragweed and wild berries.

It did get rid of a lot of of the growth, but it didn't do as much as I would have thought. I used it on a pretty warm summer day, and the following days were hot. But, it did clear a good amount of the brush, and I am very happy about that.

I am impressed by how well this works. I saw wilting weeds within hours of applying this to my yard. It worked great on a small patch of poison ivy and some stubborn vines, and I plan to apply this a few more times over the coming weeks to really make sure it's gone. First the wand is amazing. Helps get to those tough areas without getting too close for those of us that are highly susceptible to getting a rash from poison ivy. To be honest, I did not see results in one hour. I used this 3 times about 4 days apart before seeing any sort of "death" happening. The good news is that it finally started to work! Yes it took multiple applications, but my surrounding plants and bushes survived so thats a win in my book

I am super allergic to poison ivy. So I always try to pay attention to whether or not there's any anywhere around me. And my husband works super hard to make sure there's none in our yard. Well recently I smelled some roses in my rose fish in my yard and unexpectedly there was poison ivy in it.
We sprayed the treatment on the rose bush and across the fence line in the front yard.
The next morning I went outside and looked and you could tell already that it had started to work. But just another day or so the poison ivy was completely dead. I am so appreciative of this product because I don't want to have to keep going to minor emergency for poison ivy. The product was very easy to use and worked so quickly.

i liked the sprayer on this. it took a little longer than an hour to work at first. i had to wear a mask due to the smell. my boyfriend used it to and he liked how it worked. it was very easy to use. the grass grow back with out the poison ivy.

I had a large patch of poison ivy and I get it just looking at it. The sprayer works very well and has a good long spray to it. I spayed it all over it and within an hour I could hear the ivy screaming for help! Leaves were starting to curl and the next day it was all down on the ground looking very dead.

I really like this product! The bottle is easy to use and doesn’t wear out your hand as it has a powered pump. It also works great. I sprayed some poison ivy on a hot day and by the next day it was all shriveled up and clearly dying. I would 100% buy this stuff again!

This worked really well. I was really sad when the English Ivy crawling up my brick house was infested with Poison Ivy. I knew that I was going to have to kill it all and start over. I tried a couple of things, but this Ortho GroundClear Poison Ivy & Tuff Brush Killer really did work. It was easy to use for someone who is a beginner at doing their own yard work, but after a couple of applications, I was able to tear down the dead ivy and replant the new. I will recommend to those who want to get rid of the hard to get rid of plants. I will repurchase if I ever need to again.

Kills poison ivy and other aggressive weeds

I got this product even though I don’t have a problem with poison ivy. The label on the package explains that it can be used for other aggressive weeds. I used it on various spots on my front and side yards. I noticed that within the hour the weeds had already fallen over and within 48 hours had died. It did kill some of the grass in those areas, but the bigger problem has been solved.

This stuff is strong! Got this for some weed control, and works well for it. Neighbor had a wax myrtle that kept growing back, and wanted to kill it. We tried this on it, and it worked! Drilled a few holes in the trunk, sprayed this into it and waited. A few weeks later, no regrow tho and trunk was dead.

I don’t have poison ivy but did use this product on brush at edge of my lawn. It did start turning brown the next day but too soon to tell if it killed all I wanted yet. It is very easy to use and has good instructions included . Would recommend.

My Mom had a terrible poisin ivy infestation in her backyard. One vine touched her leg and it was so bad that she ended up having to go to both urgent care and the ER multiple times over a 2 month period. She had originally tried to use RoundUp but it did NOT work at all. Then I gave her this Scotts Ortho GroundClear Poison Ivy & Tuff Brush Killer, and it took out everything! Now she was able to safely finish bricking out her patio, and is able to have the kids and dog out back finally :)

A very potent formula of chemicals that works pretty quickly and is effective even if in some cases you'll need two applications to completely knock out some established poison ivy. The ingredients on the container doesn't say it contains Glyphosate but a google search says it does (5%). Glyphosate is very toxic to humans, not that the other ingredients are much better. It would be preferable if Ortho would eliminate the Glyphosate. The provided wand is targeted and works well. Just wear gloves, glasses and don't spray into the wind.

I got the Ortho GroundClear Poison Ivy & Tuff Brush Killer because I have a lot to get rid of and most of it I can’t reach. When I say this spray works fast it does. I’m less than 5 minutes I saw a difference. By the time a hour went by it was fully dead. I will make sure I keep this product in stock because I’ve never had this experience with similar products. I dont have poison ivy

This says for poison ivy. I dont have any in my yard but put it on some weeds that are hard to kill and a weed bush. I put it on 2 days ago i have some leaves turning brown but not much else. I comes out of the bottle very well and covers good.
