If you often need more width in your tennis shoes (like a "Wide" or "2E"), you might need the 9 EE in the boot for a comfortable fit without being too long. Expect a Snug Fit: New leather boots should feel snug, especially at the instep (top of the foot), and have about a thumb's width of space in the toe box. Heel Slip is Normal: Expect a little heel movement (up to a quarter-inch) initially; this is good and reduces as the boot breaks in.5 months agoHelpful?

- A: That would depend on the areas of the foot where it was larger, if it's a length or a width issue. The EE is wide, so if the length was fine but the width was the problem you might need to go down on that aspect of the shoe. These shoes are comfortable, of a medium width; sadly, not of a medium quality. Within 3 months, even with leather honey and good care, they have flaked on the sides. Most distressingly, the heels have entirely worn away, leaving plastic washers with nails that fall out. Overall, a good example of "it's expensive to be poor"
