Q: How can this be organic with Folic Acid (a synthetic man made ingredient) added to it which is toxic to me and my family?
3 years ago- A: Hi Luke, Thanks for reaching out about our organic Hog & Sow Pellets! We confirmed with our team of nutrition experts on your inquiry. Folate (vitamin B9) occurs naturally in leafy greens, and Folic Acid is the synthetically-produced version of the vitamin. Because the animals require that B9 vitamin as part of an ideal diet, it is permitted by the folks at USDA Organic as a safe and beneficial addition to organic hog feed. We are sorry to hear that you and your family are unable to consume anything containing Folic Acid. We hope you are able to find an organic swine feed that does not include it. We appreciate your communication on this matter!3 years agoHelpful?
Q: when feeding this food as a staple for my pigs what else do i need to supplement their diet with?
3 years ago- A: For technical support, please contact 1-800-767-4537.3 years agoHelpful?
Q: If fed as a sole ration, how long would this last a single adult pig? Trying to budget my feed.
4 years ago- A: That would depend on the amount of feed you would need to maintain the desired weight of the pig. If you are supplying five pounds of feed a day, it would last 400 days.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: how many bushels does this equal
4 years ago- A: Hello there! This is kind of hard to answer, because a bushel is a volume measurement. Picture a bushel basket. A bushel basket of corn is approximately 56 lbs. A bushel basket of wheat is approximately 60 lbs. A bushel of oats is 32 lbs. We would need to make this feed and then fill up a bushel basket with the feed and weigh it to answer your question - but we can say that it is 2,000 lb. of feed (one ton).4 years agoHelpful?
Q: How much lysine is in this?
5 years ago- A: Not less than 0.7%5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this be a good feed for feeder pigs?
5 years ago- A: The feed was good for my 5 feeder pigs. They grew well. I also supplemented with fruits and vegetables.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: what organization provided the organic certification?
5 years ago- A: PCO (Pennsylvania Certified Organic).5 years agoHelpful?
