Pros & Cons:

Haven't bought from TSC, but have used in past on DIY retaining wall. Pros & cons: Pros: Straight, level, sturdy. Can peg together with rebar and a drill. Cons: Very heavy, kind of messy. Creosote does stain, and rocks embedded may dull your chain saw. (Can sharpen, just know you'll need to.) End result came out well, but maybe not the project for every DIY-er.

Railroad ties condition.

Some of the ties were in bad shape. Not liking the way they hide the bad ones within the buddle. This could be the supplier & maybe not TS.
