Q: If my sliding door is 7 feet tall and the shed is 8 feet tall, is there enough clearance to apply the hardware and hanging door to the shed? I guess my question is how many inches from the top of the door will the hardware be placed?

  • A: You'll have no problems at all using this. You need the height of this track, plus maybe another couple of inches for the mounting hardware. I overlapped the top of my door an inch or so with the header just to seal it up a bit tighter. So overall, you need maybe 6" above the opening to hang this track and hardware. Probably could get by with less.
