Use the Mystik ISO 46 JT9 LeakShield AW Hydraulic Oil. It's premium-quality antiwear, antileak, and antifoam hydraulic oil formulated for use in modern high- and low-pressure industrial and mobile hydraulic systems. A fully synthetic seal swell agent prevents and stops minor leaks and provides longer seal life. Comes in a 2 gal. jug.
- Solvent-refined paraffinic, high viscosity index base oils with low pour points for wide temperature range applicability
- Excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability
- Good water separation characteristics
- Outstanding rust and corrosion inhibition for enhanced service life
- Dyed green for ease of identification
- Highly recommended for bearings and gears which require a rust and oxidation (R&O) or R&O/ AW hydraulic oil and hydraulic circuit components including valves, motors, servos, and pumps

Q: Our owner's manual specifies HM46 hydraulic oil. We bought ISO46 hydraulic fluid but have not opened the jugs or filled the machine.. Are they the same or interchangeable? It is for the Nortrac towable backhoe/trencher.

- A: Hello, Thank you for your question. Per the vendor, "A Class HM, per ASTM D6158, is a refined mineral base oil or synthetic base oil with rust and oxidation inhibitors plus anti-wear characteristics. An HM46 is an ISO 46 HM-type fluid. Our Mystik JT-9 Leakshield ISO 46 would be considered an HM46. It is suitable for use in the backhoe equipment."a year agoHelpful?

Damaged Container

Ordered 2 - 2 gallon containers. Went to the store to pick them up. When got to my truck I noticed one had a hole in the top and it was leaking hydraulic oil to the point where the front table was close to coming of due the oil that had soaked it. I went back into the store to point out that it had a leak and I was told "Yes we know that but they were the last two we have. Sorry". I took them and left. It would have been nice to have been told about the leak upfront and possibly some concession as technically the product wasn't 100%.
