The MRCOOL 4th generation DIY 18K BTU, 22 SEER ductless Heat pump system offers a complete solution to your home's heating and cooling needs. This system can heat and cool an area up to 750 sq. ft. and is capable of an Energy Star certified, 22 SEER efficiency rating. However, the best feature of this system is the ease of installation it provides to the homeowner. With the included pre-charged 25 ft. line set, some hand tools, and a few hours of time this entire system can be completely installed. This system comes equipped with many functions that separate it from the rest. It has multiple operating modes, which include auto, heat, cool, fan-only, dry (dehumidification) and sleep. It also features the follow Me function, which allows the system to continually adjust the room temperature based on where the hand-held remote controller is. Need to operate the system when you're not at home? No problem. The MRCOOL system also has the capability of being operated with your smart phone with the use of the smart HVAC app.

Mr Cool 18000 BTU 5th generation mini split system

The Mr Cool 18,000 BTU mini split system 5th generation system is working great. I was able to install it myself with the included step by step instructions. I also went with the Mr Cool line cover plates to protect the lines but to also give it a clean finished look.

A well thought out design. The air handler that you mount on your wall has the return vent right on the top of it which makes it super efficient. It pulls the hot air from the ceiling and pushes cold air out underneath of it. I use it to cool down a 432 square foot living area and from the start up to comfortable cool takes five minutes. I can honestly say it's the best air conditioner I ever installed for myself. I'm 72 years old and I installed it myself, with the only help, was getting the line set through the wall.
