I wish it was a bit thicker and had a better lock ! I would pay more for both improvements ! The box does fit perfectly in the side of the bed in a Polaris Ranger , you have to raise it up off the floor about 3 inches at the tailgate and about 2 inches in the front toward the cab . I used two two by four blocks and one block of one by four in the front worked GREAT ! Set it over from the bed side about 3 inches and drill screws through the bed tiedowns into the wooden blocks so no fancy brackets are required ! My chainsaw fits perfect laying on it's side and enough room for the tools I need to keep with me . A half box tray about 4 or 5 inches deep would be great , I may make one . I looked for over a year for a box to fit my 1000 Ranger bedside ( saddlebag ) and finally found this one , I mainly wanted to keep my saw and some tools etc. dry so this box worked good for me despite not being very secure , it does lock although it could be broken into very easy . I had it delivered to the store , that was a good experience they were very helpful and fast shipping ! You have to assemble the box , I didn't know that untill I picked it up , the instructions could be better but no big problems . Pretty sturdy for the money,,,,easy to assemble. I’d buy another one if I needed one.
