MaxxAir Heavy-Duty Exhaust Fan with Integrated Shutter, 24 in. Blade is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought this to use as exhaust fan for a spray room. Although it's not technically approved for such work, it serves me well. As a matter of fact, this is the second one I've had. This is a tough stressful job for this type of fan and the first one I used lasted 10 years! Although the motor is sealed, I do recommend using a cheap CHA filter framed on the front of the unit to filter dust and debris from building up on the blades. Great fan!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Update to previous review. I was able to return the out of balance fan portion of this product to the store and swap it for like parts from another fan assembly. This cured the problem and it is now running smoothly. I would have increased the rating to five stars, but I should not have had to do the replacement in the first place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Vibrates badly. I bought this about a month ago, and had it installed in the gable of a new metal building. Got it wired up today and started it up. Blade is badly out of balance and the fan motor is shaking enough that I am concerned vibrations will crack the motor mount. Went by Tractor Supply and discussed problem with the Asst. Manager on duty. After calling the manager he told me I had to bring the bad parts in and they would swap parts from a fan in stock. Removing the fan from the building is a no go as that would involve removing building skin and insulation. Not pleased!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immediate difference! Just got this fan installed. Turned it on and immediately felt the difference in the building. Turned it off and could tell a huge difference. Been wanting a fan like this a long time.

Should the IF24 have 3 braces or only 2 on the motor? Just installed one and getting a lot of vibration with only 2 braces. I'm concerned the sheet metal screws will eventually fail.

Asked by: Wayne251
The unit has only 2 motor braces. Unfortunately, the fan blades could be off balanced and this will cause vibrations. Please contact our Technical Department at 800-433-1626, they will be able to assist you in getting replacement blades.
