Don't buy !!!!!
I bought this motor from the local Tractor Supply on April 21st. installed it and it ran fine until July 6th. when it burned out. The reset was stuck, the tar leaked out of the capacitor and the winding was burned up. Called Tractor Supply and they said I could return it. I just went into town this morning, July 19th. and took the motor with me for return. I then found out since I had purchased a maintenance contract I would have to go through them. They supplied the contact information and I called them. First thing they said was that the maintenance contract did not go into effect until AFTER the mfg. warranty expired. They gave me a number to call. I called and the people said they did not take care of motors only appliances. I called Power Plus Plan back and was given another number to call. After giving them the information on the motor they ask me to send a photo of the motor name plate. Now even though the motor box had a GE id number I received a email saying it was built by Marathon and was given another number to call. I called and was told they did not supply directly to Tractor Supply so I would have to call someone else. The interesting thing here is that Marathon is supposed to warranty the motor for 12 months after installation while my motor was only in service for less than 3 months. In any case I called the last number given and got voice mail and no one has retuned by call. Don't buy one. Is a piece of c--p. Don't waste your money on a extended warranty. It is also c--p. Don't depend on any factory warranty. It is again a piece of c--p. If you want to go through what I have today buy one. If you want something that works buy elsewhere.

Don’t lose your receipt!

Don’t lose your receipt! If you do and even though they can remember you have bought 3-4 of them they still won’t warranty it and the manufacture says the store is liable so that game too
No, I do not recommend this product.
