- A: Hi Neighbor- No, you should not simply spray over rusty metal with Majic Rust Kill Spray Paint without any preparation. While it is an oil-based enamel designed to inhibit rust, applying it over loose or flaky rust will trap moisture and oxygen, causing the corrosion to continue spreading underneath the new paint8 days agoHelpful?

- A: Previously Painted Surfaces: Previously painted surfaces in good condition do not require priming. If the surface is in poor condition, prime bare spots as indicated above2 years agoHelpful?
Q: I have a metal tray in my chicken coop for droppings that I would like keep from rusting. Is there any off gassing that would harm them if it dries completely? Will chicken manure ruin the paint?
