My Golden doodles do very well on this food. One is 3 the other is a puppy, 3 months old. The 3 year old was given to us 5 months ago and had been on a quality dog food but was licking his paws a lot and chewing on his back foot. Through elimination I discovered the chicken in dog food caused the licking and chewing. He can eat food that isn’t grain free as long as it doesn’t have chicken (this is common for dogs to be sensitive to chicken) but the grain free helps him to have firmer stool and his coat is so much softer and shinier since putting him on this. It does smell like fish and they can have fish breathe right after eating. I hope this will help someone if you have a dog who licks their paws. My doodles of different life stages are thriving on it. We live on a farm and they are VERY active. I recommend it.

ALERT check your dog food!

So I’ve been using this food for at least 3 years now and never seemed to have any issues that I can think of... TODAY I noticed something sticking out of one of the dog food pieces and it seems to be a piece of hard plastic that’s white and painted yellow on one side. I’ve already notified the manufacturer but I just had to put it on here so y’all know to check your dog food!

All life stages=simple life=happy mom

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Growing up on a farm Nutrena was always a trusted feed. So when our girls were having some skin allergies and we started looking for a different dog food and I discovered Loyal Life was made by Nutrena I knew we had to try it. Before we finished the first bag our oldest girl, an 11 year old border collie mix, was already less itchy. I thought maybe I was imagining things but by the time we finished the 2nd bag the 5 year old husky mix had also stopped itching! Now ok 2 big dogs what about little dogs? Well this food made life super easy fo me because it covers "all life stages" and our 8 year old corgi mix loved it too! All 3 of these girls did fantastic from day 1. Yes, I said I have 4 dogs- I didn't start our puppy on it until a little after she hit 1- I kept her on their puppy food prior to that. Now I can say that all 4 of them at ages 14, 11, 8, and 3 are more than excited about meal time. I do make sure to keep a close eye on portion control, otherwise they get a little chunky. But they consistently get a clean bill of health from the vet. Live my girls!
