Lodge Cast Iron 14 in. Seasoned Wok, Black

We bought this to replace an electric wok, that had been used so much, the non stick was coming off. With cast iron, I never have to deal with that again. This one cleans us easily. Cooks perfectly on a glasstop electric stove. It is heavy like you would expect. The one suggestion I have for users, is cook your scrambled eggs in another skillet before making fried trice. Eggs just want to stick when cooked in this, even with oil.

I have been using a wok that I've had for over 30 years--not cast iron--and it was showing its age, so I decided to purchase the cast iron wok I now am enjoying. It is very well-made, heavy and food cooks evenly. Very pleased with my purchase!

I bought this so I can start making pad thai and other dishes such as fried rice. I have an induction stove and use a silicone cover to protect the glass. The wok was pre seasoned so was ready to go out of the box after washing. It performs incredibly well, just take the time to heat it well. Yes it’s heavy, so some may have problems washing it. I keep mine in the oven. Now I need to find some more wok dishes to make. I imagine this will last me the rest of my life and can pass down to my kids.
