After careful research I selected this as our new front door lock. From the start it was a quality experience. It was like unboxing a new Apple product. The packaging all spoke “care, and class”. The lock units are exceptionally well constructed. The provision of the wifi hub, and two battery packs is a very thoughtful and complete touch. I read the instructions three times from cover to cover, yet I still had a couple of minor alignment issues. Noting I had to drill new holes in the door to install this lock, not reuse existing holes. It is important not to rush the install. Allow hours if you are drilling your own holes to measure, align, recheck… etc. Then dry assemble everything (I.e. do not tighten screws or use the sticky pads) to ensure it all works as required. After the physical install the wifi and app setup was a breeze and worked first time. Adding fingerprints is then a very simple process. There are many configuration options within the app. It is well worth doing some research and understanding which is best for you. As an example someone ringing the bell can be sent to your mobile as a text alert or it can appear like an incoming FaceTime/Video Call, and you’re connected directly to the lock to chat with the caller. Been in use a few weeks now and delighted with the product. Would fully recommend to anyone that wants a secure smart lock, video doorbell, motion sensing security camera all in the one unit.
