  • A: This blade is suitable for the Star, Liberty Lithium but for heavy duty clippers such as the Legend and Fusion, we recommend using Lister blades with a metal socket only.

Q: Would these work to cut a poodle hair

  • A: Lister Star will work on poodle hair but will leave almost no hair, these blades cut to a #15 length so will almost be completely shaved. The only Lister Blades we would recommend to try with poodle hair, assuming you want to leave some hair, have a metal comb as part of the blade, so will leave some length, 258-12720 Clipping Blades A2H/AC 13mm 258-12730 Clipping Blades A2H/AC 19mm

Q: Will these blades work to shear alpacas? I am looking for something to do both Suri and Huacaya.

  • A: We would not recommend using this blade as it is too short and has too many teeth for alpaca. We would recommend the Lister Coarse Clipper Blade (Part #: 258-11860 CA2/AC Coarse). Leaves 2.5 mm (0.1"). 18 teeth versus the standard 35, makes it perfect for clipping very thick, dense areas of horse hair as well as llamas, alpacas and goats. This blade will need to be special ordered through your local store as it is not currently available online.

These clipper blades work pretty well in substitution for premier one blades. They were more expensive than the actual website but I bought them anyways. If you’re thinking about doing that, always check online because Tractor Supply according to their rules will price match! But as always, Tractor Supply is always a great local business to support.
