Unfortunately I'm not convinced. Although my dogs don't have a problem consuming it, I have actually noticed a decrease in their ability to move freely on this. Although both GSD's are seniors and one is very overweight, the overweight one will not even attempt to use the steps to get in the bed anymore and the other one use to at least run and hop to the backdoor and she doesn't do that anymore since I tried this. I will keep searching for something that truly helps them with their mobility.
