Awful

I bought this for my dog and on the first time she used it she was able to break free from the buckled tether. She pulled herself free. This might be good for smaller dogs, but not for strong larger breeds.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We're sorry to hear this tether was not the right solution for you and your dog! Though the tether would not be pulled free under the force a dog could provide if buckled fully into place, the buckle could release if not fully buckled, or if the button on the seatbelt is pressed. This can happen in some situations with dogs who either learn to press this button, or inadvertently press it by moving/pacing actively while tethered. We'd love to speak with you about your situation directly to see what different solution may be a better fit for you and your dog. safety frrst

My dog love to look outside and we used to pass the seat belt through her harness so that she would sit. when we did any movement would cause her to stop being able to move. I was skeptical because I didn't know if it woukd fit my seat belt but it fit perfectly. and we recently got into a fender bender and my dog wasn't thrown around the car. and instead was fine.

Looked Good

I bought a wire tether for our 45 pound puppy for our truck, but she got tangled in it and I had to stop to untangle before she was hurt. So I like the idea of your tether that wouldn't strangle or injure a leg. Problem is she chewed it in half the first time I used it and she did it in about 3 minutes. It's hard to stop her from chewing when I'm driving. Guess I'll just have to stick with the wire tethers and keep an eye on her. BTW on the question below about recommending this product to a friend, I have to say it depends on the dog.

We're sorry to hear your dog damaged her tether! As with any item being worn/used in the car, we would recommend first using the tether when your dog can be closely monitored by a passenger. This way any attempt to place her mouth on the tether can be immediately noticed and redirected. Through short training sessions that get longer over time, most dogs can learn to accept tethering without chewing themselves free. We're so sorry for any misunderstanding. If you would wish to try a tether with your puppy again and have any other questions or there's anything we can help you with, please contact our team here- https://www.kurgo.com/contact-us Our phone hours are Monday through Friday 8 A.M.- 7 P.M. Does it's job

The one thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a swivel anchor to the pup, so it will get twisted during a trip, which means it gets shorter and shorter as the trip goes on. I do like that it hooks to the seatbelt spot since he is heavy enough to trigger being a "passenger" and it turns the airbag warning off. Keeps him safe if I need to stop short and he can't hop out of the window after crazy squirrels!
