KBS Coatings All-In-One Kit, Grey, Gloss Black

The KBS All-In-One Kit pairs RustSeal in Grey with a pint of BlackTop in Gloss Black for a complete rust stopping system on truck and trailer frames, tractor and implement frames, and undercarriages, covering about 50 sq ft at two coats of RustSeal and one coat of BlackTop. It contains KBS Klean, RustBlast, RustSeal in Grey, a pint of BlackTop, KBS number 1 Thinner, brushes, gloves, a stir stick, and written instructions. KBS Klean cuts grease, oil, and road film. RustBlast removes rust and etches the metal. RustSeal is the rust stopping base coat, a moisture cured urethane that goes over tightly rusted, sandblasted, or scuffed steel and cures rock hard yet flexible. BlackTop is the UV stable topcoat. RustSeal on its own chalks and fades in direct sun, so use BlackTop over it wherever sunlight hits, and leave RustSeal as the finish on parts out of the sun. Made in the USA.Surface prep is what makes RustSeal work. Knock off loose rust and flaking paint with 320 grit sandpaper, a wire brush, or a wire wheel. Clean with KBS Klean and rinse, and avoid solvent based cleaners that leave a residue. Treat rusted metal with RustBlast to etch the surface and convert remaining rust, then rinse and dry completely. A freshly sandblasted surface needs only the dust blown off. Apply between 55 and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in moderate to dry conditions, and never in rain or on a damp surface. Do not shake the can. Stir thoroughly, pour a working amount into a separate container, and reseal the can. Apply at least 2 thin coats at about 2 mils each. Recoat once the last coat leaves no fingerprint, typically 2 to 6 hours. Past 8 hours, wait 24 hours and scuff with 320 grit. Thin only with KBS number 1 Thinner or xylene. Topcoat with BlackTop while the RustSeal is between 3 and 8 hours old with no other prep. Outside that window, let RustSeal cure 24 hours and scuff with 320 grit before applying BlackTop.
