The Coop Scentry is a scented protection stone keeps away weasels, fox, skunks, rabbits, deer, squirrels, gophers, chipmunks, mice and other rodents. Place the predator scented Coop Scentry where you need the most protection from these pesky critters. The Coop Scentry is totally safe around humans and will not cause harm to pets or wildlife. for best results, in large enclosures, place one every 12 to 16 ft. apart.. The Coop Scentry is made of an all-natural absorbent stone. Recharge scent is available when the Coop Scentry needs a "recharge". Good for many months of outdoor protection. Time varies based on outside conditions.

Q: I’m using mine for my chicken yard. I need to know how the weather (rain) will effect the longevity of the activator .. how often will I need to reactivate the stones ??

- A: The stones should work for about 2-3 months but weather is the variable. Depending on sun, rain it may be on the shorter end of the range. I would suggest refreshing with the predator scent at 6-8 weeks during very wet months. You can hang the scentry perpendicular to the ground rather than lay in down to reduce the amount of rain that gets into the case. Another suggestion is to put if in an are with more shade if possible rather than direct sun.6 years agoHelpful?
Q: Could you put it in your attic to deter mice and squirrels? Or does it smell bad to humans?

- A: These are designed to keep away mice and squirrels. It does have a strong odor at first but should decrease for humans but not the animals targeted as they rely on their sense of smell much more than humans and are more sensitive to it. Keep in mind that squirrels can be a bit more difficult but the manufacturer has had good success with them. As with any living animal, results may vary.7 years agoHelpful?

waste of money

after I finally recvd it, set it up per instructions. Hung it approx 12 inched off the ground on the pens wire wall. next morning-murdered chicken. 2nd day, caught a possum in a hava-a-hart trap right next to the coop protector. Raccoons are killing the chickens so evidently this product does nothing to deter raccoons or possums.
No, I do not recommend this product.
