For the price of this lazer measure it should be able to read inside outside upside down right side up but it don't if your a little bit shake it don't work inside or out unless your within 50ft and outside if it's bright good luck to get 20ft this thing should have bin in the toys r us section what a waist of money even cheap Chinese and Japanese layers work way better no wonder we don't make anything here in the US
