A tried and true updated classic flashlight.

I finally went into a TSC store. Took a tour and found only 1 of these lights. As soon as I saw it, I had a flashback, pardon the pun, memories of a light very much like this one that I had when I was in the Boy Scouts back in the mid 1960s. Back then the light was an incandescent as opposed to this one having been upgraded to a LED driver. This light is really bright and if you drop it there is no filament that will break, can't tell you how many times this happened to my old light.
I have so many fond memories of my old scout light being with me on all the adventures that I took as a kid. There was no doubt that this last one in the store was coming home with me to go on new adventures with my grand-kids. This has additional colored lenses and best of all, this also allows you to press a button for momentary activation for Morse code. Back then, we as scouts had to know it, after all, you got a merit badge for it. Young or old, you cannot go wrong with this updated version no matter what the adventure. A great flash from the past. - Cheers -

Junk, just like everything else at TSC
I like the style of the light, but the switch mechanism is a naive design (just a single copper leaf that bends when pressed) and poorly made as well.
Didn't even last until I got home, then took it apart and bent the tab to make it "sorta work" for now, will replace with a proper snap action toggle switch when I next have the opportunity to do so. I preferred the old days when things actually functioned properly.

Very good flashlight and great battery life
22 days ago
Work's very well., I had some issues with the switch when I first got it but upon investigation I found it was not the switch but rather the battery compartment has extra room, so the batteries move around in it. I wrap the paper around the battery pack and it has worked flawless for 10 years. The right-angle design has a lot less strain on the wrist when using it. I love this flashlight. It is bright and the batteries last a long time

Better Than "Military Grade" (IYKYK)
Very similar to the ones I used to use in the Army but better. This is improved by the use of LED bulb and the aluminum housing for better durability. The trade-off is I think this is heavier than the plastic one I used to carry during many 'walks' in the infantry. This may be the same switch mechanism the old ones used and while they are prone to malfunctioning after some time, mine has had no issues with the switch. I've had mine for several years now and was still going strong until the batteries leaked and corroded the connections, but that was my fault for leaving the batteries in there long term without use. I'd love to be able to get just a replacement battery holder to get mine working again.
Yes, I recommend this product.
