I purchased this unit a week ago and integrated it into our water supply. I was a bit shocked to see the disclaimer that the unit was only rated for 80 PSI. In the last two towns I lived in both were about 85 PSI. It would seem any product built with the fit and finish of this should be rated at 20% above the operational range, this would ensure solid operation without the concern of damage or having to reduce your water pressure.

No more chlorine scent in the water

Finally ordered and installed a whole house water filter. I did my best installing it and am happy with the end result. It looks good and works well. I've read that chlorine can shorten the life of the softening media in a water softener. I plumbed the filter so water comes into the softener loop, runs through the filter, and then back into the softener. This eliminates the concern for chlorine. We have soft, scent free water that tastes great. I'm really surprised at how effective this filter is at polishing city water. Special thanks to Laurence for his assistance.
