This Ironcraft Fences Fence Gate Drop Rod is a convenient addition for drive gates to help keep gates securely closed. Powder-coated for added durability and to prevent corrosion, the gate drop rod lock easily drives into the ground to ensure the gate remains closed. It can be used on either soil or concrete. Great quality at a great price

A great quality solid steel 5/8" rod and sturdy guides. Good paint job. The only part I didn't use was the screws, I needed self tapping screws for the metal fence. I imagine the screws supplied would work perfectly for a wood fence. A great set for a very reasonable price.

Sturdy but not easy to use

Wish these just had a holder the handles dropped into vs the multiple nubs trying to get them to align to pull up and down through slots was too frustrating.

Great option for all gates.

They are durable and painted from the factory. Easy to install in any gate application. Mine was a welded metal gate and I just tac welded them on. Very simple to use. It came with screws to install into a wood gate. But I didn't use them. I would buy these again.
