Half a Scanner Without Your Phone

The Innova 5010v2 will read your codes, sure, but don’t expect much else unless you’re willing to babysit it with their mobile app. The built-in display(annoying not back lit) looks like something out of a 90s calculator, and the lack of onboard features means you’re basically buying half a scanner until you connect your phone. If all you want is a quick code read so you can Google the problem yourself, it’ll do the job. But honestly, a cheaper Bluetooth reader will usually give you more features right out of the box without making you feel like you’re paying extra for the privilege of doing all the work yourself.

Quick easy vehicle code reader only.

Not your average code reader, but does only do that specifically. Not high tech live data streams but does allow you to quickly read and clear codes. Connects to any ODB2 connection on any vehicle. Gets the job done quickly if that is the only thing you need.

I tested the Innova 5010 Code Reader and was genuinely impressed. You just plug it into your car, connect it to the app, and it sends over the diagnostic info instantly. It flagged a yellow code for me—and surprisingly, it revealed my car was on the recall list! Super helpful tool to catch things before they become a bigger issue.
