Strainer is garbage

Cheap junk. Manufactured with seam the bisects where it's tightened. Just bought it and secured it this weekend, and it leaked immediately! Couldn't figure out why until I pulled it off and looked at the leak. Right at the seam . I had my previous strainer for almost 20 years and wanted to be proactive and replace it before it went bad on me. No good deed goes unpunished!! CRAP.
