Deck Drive belt

Brand New 242XD, 7.8 hours of use, broken deck drive belt. Deck adjusted properly, not cutting wet, heavy grass at lowest setting. Taking to dealer. They said they could tell why it broke. I'm sure they will say it's my fault somehow.

Belt did not fit my YTH 18542 mower -too short.

I took a chance buying this belt. My Husqvarna rider mower lists a part number for the belt of the same length as this one. But at least one other owner of my moder mower reported that this belt was too short, as I found also. Perhaps my mower's being a Lowe's model had something to do with the proper size, though I don't see how that could be.
