[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this product almost 2 weeks ago for a couple of residential estates that I have with a lot of tall hedges and this product helps me get the job done with ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm an arborist, and I bought the 520iHT4 specifically to trim holly trees without standing on a ladder. I own five other Husqvarna saws that use the same battery, I trust the product line completely, and this telescoping hedge trimmer is the same dependable high quality that I expected. I was surprised how powerful the trimmer is. It's efficient too. Even if I run it continuously, the battery lasts longer than you would think.

I bought this last spring to cut a 200 foot (2 sided) laurel hedge that had gone wild. I needed to take 7 to 8 feet off the top to get back to a manageable 8 foot height and over 2 feet off the sides too. The first thing I noticed was the weight. I'm 73 and it was a challenge to cut above my head. I could only cut for about 2 hours a day, before my arms gave out. I was also standing on a 10 foot ladder. I would say this is a tool for a younger person. NOTE: I lost weight, and developed some arm strength. (All gone now as winter begins!) I liked the telescoping portion which allowed for cutting most of the top part of the hedge. And shortening the length enabled cutting the sides. But it was still heavy for me. What I didn't like was the use of a twist-turn to tighten the length. The pole would loosen itself. I think a button arrangement would be better with an interval at 2 feet or so, to set the length. There is a limitation to the cutting thickness. Because some of the growth was out of hand a pole chainsaw might have been better, but I didn't have one. This trimmer set me back a considerable amount of money with a charger and medium time length battery. A pole saw is in the future because some of the very tall branches need cutting again. They are more than 2 inches thick, which is about the effective limit of this trimmer. The battery held up well and recharged quickly. Two hours was about average use with a BLi22 battery before needing a charge. Overall I am quite happy with this trimmer, knowing now some of its limitations in weight and design.
