Not a good fit on a tiller

I installed one of these on a mid-70s Troy-Bilt Horse tiller to replace the OE belt. It works ok, but needs constant adjustment because the original belt was raw-sided (open rubber) and this one is wrapped. This one is also a little stiffer than the original as well. The belt will slip within minutes of being retensioned. I have extensively used other belts in this product line with good success on tractors and riding mowers, but this was not a good choice for a tiller. The belt itself is well made and has held up to the excess heat from slipping. If it was a little more flexible it would be a great fit because it would hold tension easier.
