My horses love this electrolyte supplement. I give it to my cows too.

I use Apple Dex for my horses to replace lost electrolytes in the summer. I love the product. It is highly palatable.

I have been using this product year around for my two horses for quite a few years. It was recommended by my vet after we had an expensive and frightening bout of impaction colic because one of my boys does not drink much water. I add 1/4-1/2 scoop to their feed which I moisten with a little bit of water twice a day. Don't know what it tastes like except salt but it smells like apples and has not affected their appetites. I give what I consider a small amount because too much salt will cause diarrhea which is one of the reasons I do not use a salt block. Happy that I can order the 30 lb pail to be shipped free to the Tractor Supply store.
