If you tie a string around the handle you can drag it around the shop to pick up metal shavings. Also works well to hold notes/kid's drawings on to the fridge.
As far as a ground clamp, it's pretty worthless.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this for when I cant get my ground cable clamp to properly attach to the work piece and this magnetic ground clamp works worse if I were to just lay the cable clamp from my welder on the metal
