We generally suggest doing a 7-day transition, as this allows them time to get used to the new flavor and ingredients. This can also help ward off against any sort of tummy trouble. The mixture is continually stirred to ensure an even distribution of chunks and gravy for each can of product. On rare occasion there may be an opportunity for settling of the mixture which causes uneven distribution of the food chunks. While a can of food containing limited chunks meets the weight requirements, it would not meet our high quality expectations.
