Q: Just curious which size is recommended for in between size dogs? I have two Chiweenies. They are small and only weigh 11 1/2 pounds each, but they fall in the 13 inch length range. I’m not sure whether to order size small or medium. They fall between.

- A: In my opinion the coat runs small. I would get the larger size. You could have it delivered to the store so you could take your dogs in to try it on. Otherwise, while it is inconvenient, you could always just exchange it. This coat is waterproof, but it does NOT keep my dog, (a Brittany Spaniel) warm.5 years agoHelpful?

Very nice well fitted jacket, keeps my dog warms and dry. Just make sure to buy one size bigger than normal, our dog is 42lbs and we needed a XL.

I followed the measurement chart and measured the areas it told to measure. I then ordered The size the chart said to order with the measurements. The chart was obviously wrong because the coat was too small for my dog. The good thing about it was there was a tractor supply store close by that I was able to return it to. Unfortunately they did not have the jacket that I had to return in the store. The jackets they had to offer in store were nothing like the jacket I returned.
