Hay it works
While I haven't used the elevator yet I have assembled and ran a few bales on it. It works good. The assembly and adjustments can be a bit challenging if only one person is doing it. With some clamps and good mechanical ability it is together and running. The shortening of the chain proved to be the most challenging part. The end sprocket only allows so much adjustment so it was necessary to shorten the chain to get the suggested four inches of slack lifted at the mid point. Large pliers a hammer and a sacrificial block of wood work well. The chain is designed to slip apart in one certain position with the proper force and angle it works. Reassembly is done in the opposite way.

Hay elevator
The item had obviously been dropped as the gear housing was bent in several places and one side of the frame was also bent. As I didn’t want to wait for a replacement, I was able to bend the pieces back into decent shape. For the cost of the item I would have expected it delivered in perfect condition.
