Great with seed/bad with fertilizer

I bought this hand spreader last week. It is great for grass seed! You can easily control how much seed is spread. Unfortunately, this spreader does not work with 12-12-12 fertilizer very well. The fertilizer gets stuck in the spreader and you have to take it apart to resolve the situation. Don't try to spread fertilizer or you will be taking it apart and putting it together all day long.

Not Worth The Effort

This product constantly "jammed" with the fine granules I was trying to spread. The gears are plastic and the unit did not operate smoothly. All in all a very poor product. I would not recommend.

Worst product I ever purchased at TC. They should review their products before they sell them to TC customers….plastic gears don’t mesh properly so it is a struggle to use it…I spent $12 but would rather spend $50 for a quality tool…

Very poor product - spills, clogs, and not useable

Not up to Tractor Supply standards... this is a very poor product and for me unusable. The spreader opening does not open and close with trigger - so material continues to spill out of bottom until the hand crank jams.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Yeah this thing is pretty terrible I had fine granules and I could barely use this product because it kept getting jammed up
