Q: Will green works make a longer lasting battery? This battery is used in the green works 60v go kart and 8ah is way too short of run time. Look on line and most electric go karts are coming with 20-30ah batteries. Doubling green works 20 mile run time.

Q: Batteries not holding charge. I have had these for 3 1/2 years now and they will not hold a charge more than 10 minutes. They are unplugged when not in use

Q: Does this battery work with any of the 60v GreenWorks snowblower models? Most of them seem to have a size issue with the battery compartment.

A lithium-ion battery lifespan is determined by charging and discharging cycles and is dependent on many different variables such as storage, temperature, charge, and handling. A “normally” used battery can last over 1000 cycles. A cycle means that the battery goes from fully charged to empty and then fully charged again. A battery is considered a consumable and over time may lose the ability to store the same amount of energy as it did at the beginning of its life cycle. In optimal conditions 80V lithium-ion batteries typically have a lifespan of up to 2,000 charging and discharging cycles (1,000 with a rapid charger). While we only work with the highest quality products, nothing is always perfect, but not to worry, Greenworks lithium-ion batteries are offered with a 4-year (homeowner) limited warranty.
