Q: Will it grow in coastal SC
2 years ago- A: Hi, This grass grows best in the following zones, almost the entirety of South Carolina is zone 8. Hardiness Zones 8 (10 to 20 F), 5 (-20 to -10 F), 4 (-30 to -20 F), 6 (-10 to 0 F), 7 (0 to 10 F), 9 (20 to 30 F)2 years agoHelpful?
Q: Will this lawn last year after year, or die off after a season?
4 years ago- A: GreenView FFGS Turf Type Tall Fescue Sun & Shade Blend is complied of 3 different tall fescue grass seed varieties. The tall fescue grass seeds are cool season perennial grass adapted to a wide range of climate areas.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: I live in Houston, Tx. Zone 9...When is the best time for me to seed my yard with this product?
4 years ago- A: Zone 9 has a long growing season with hot summers. Most vegetable varieties will have no problem maturing before your first frost date. With a last frost date of March 1st and first frost date of December 15th. These dates will vary a week or two so it's important to watch the weather before planting.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: I live in coastal southern north carolina have not been able to grow grass tried fescue blends of all varieties , scotts southern gold , rebel , you name it failure my yard is partial shade [5hrs] [sun 4 hours] would this greenview variety work better ?
5 years ago- A: I too have tried the name brands found at most big box stores and had terrible luck with them. I tried the Greenview and it did well but I took the advice of some grader friends and went to the ag store and bought the no name grass seed mix and fertilizer they suggested and had the best luck. Soil conditions are the main culprit and most county's have an extension service that can help with finding the right fertilizers and additives to get your grass to grow in your area. Coastal southern N.C. is probably going to be sandy soils over very poor draining soils so you'll want to discuss with those who are educated with grasses and soils but who have no monetary interest in your situation such as an ag agent.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: I live in Massachusetts, what grass seed will work best with a mixture of sun and shade?
5 years ago- A: It is too soon to know foe sure but we live in Pennsylvania and were late getting the area ready for planting. 5his is the first time not using straw and trying the seed starter. The grass is almost an inch high after 12 days and appears to work in the sun and under the trees. I will update after a couple more weeks.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: What type of fescues are in this mix?
5 years ago- A: The type that actually grows!! I've long since thrown my bag away to specifically answer your question but compared to the numerous other brands I've bought over the past year this has been, by far, the best grass seed. Scotts, Rebel, Pennington and a couple more off brands I used was a waste of time and money.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: Is this a warm or cool season grass? Will it work in west Texas? Does it spread or clump?

This dense-growing blend will resist drought, insects, disease, heat and heavy traffic from children and pets. It is recommended for hardiness zones 4 - 9.5 years agoHelpful?
