This dual fuel generator has a starting watt offering of 13,000 peak surge watts and 10,500 continues running watts of power when used with gasoline option and 11,750 peak surge watts and 9,550 continuous running watts of power when using the propane option. Q: How easy is it to switch from propane to gasoline? Also, I live at 7500 feet. Does the gen output get derated for altitude. Does it need special tuning for altitude?

- A: It is very easy to switch gasoline to propane or from propane to gasoline. Suppose you are operating the generator with gasoline and you intend to switch it to propane, you just need to connect the propane hose properly and turn the Fuel Source Select switch from Gas to Propane (LPG) and turn off the gasoline valve (underneath the fuel tank) at the same time, it switches to propane smoothly , and vice versa. Attention please: if the generator is working on heavy load, disconnect all appliances first, which will avoid possible damage to the appliances. For safety purposes, we recommend consumers to disconnect all appliances and stop the engine, then switch between different fuel sources. Regarding altitude, the engine (generator ) is designed to use not more than 5000ft altitude, if more, the power will be decreased, how much decrease will depend on the altitude. Generally, about 3% power decrease per 1000ft altitude higher. For higher than 5000ft altitude, some parts of the carburetor needs to be replaced if consumer cares about the power decrease.4 years agoHelpful?

This unit is NOT suitable for home standby power, which is what I bought it for. The power produced is so "dirty" that my furnace won't start and my lights go off and on every few minutes. You need to put a strong warning on the website so others don't make the same mistake. This unit would be good for camping, RVing, tailgate and jobsite. But it is worthless for home use. And there are no reviews on your site.
