Q: I applied to my swine as the label directed, not diluted and per the instructions. 3 days later and my pig’s skin is burnt and bleeding. How do I get this stuff off my pigs! It’s a terrible product and my pigs are in pain!

A: If there are any adverse effects concerning animal health, we always suggest calling an animal health specialist or veterinarian. They will be better suited to assist with any animal health concerns. Regarding cleanup, the product can be removed from the surface of the skin with soapy water and gentle scrubbing.

Q: Stupidly spilled in the basement on low pile carpet. Whole house smells like petroleum. Any way to break it down?

1 Answer
  • Product Specialist
A: Depending on how large the spill is and the makeup of the carpet, you can apply an oil-dry or kitty litter material to the spill to try and soak up any excess that isn’t already down into the carpet fibers and let that sit and soak in. Remove the oil-dry/litter with a vacuum or shop vac to physically remove as much spilled materials as possible. A steam cleaner or carpet cleaner would likely be the best next step to try and remove the remaining product from the carpet fibers. If you are able, a fan running and an open window to help ventilate the area would assist with the odor as well.

Seems to work as advertised.

Seems to work okay. Poured it onto a backrubber that I purchased from TS. about a third of it went on the ground. Strung at the gate of a small corral. When the cows got over their fear of the backrubber and ducked under it, the they got a decent dose of this insecticide. Pretty much kept the flies off their backs and necks. Didn't do much for their legs and faces, but every bit helps.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Will cause hair to fall out

I used this product as directed and my calves developed a crusty sores where it was applied and their hair began falling out in large clumps. At first I thought they had caught mange or rain rot or some other skin issue and did not suspect this product. When applying to a second group of calves I intentionally did not apply to one to serve as a "control" sure enough about three weeks later the hair began falling out on all these calves as well except for the calf I did not apply it on. This makes it pretty clear that the product has caused the hair loss. It does help keep the flies under control, but the damage to the calves far outweighs any benefits. I will never use it again, its a shame I still have so much product left.

No, I do not recommend this product.
