The GEARWRENCH combination ratcheting wrenches feature a 5 degree ratcheting arc vs. 30 degree on a standard combination wrench increasing productivity. The wrenches feature off-corner loading for better grip and reduced fastener rounding. The wrenches have a sleek head design allowing access to tight spots where a ratchet would not fit.

  • 72-tooth ratcheting box end needs a minimal 5 degrees to move fasteners vs. 30 degrees for standard wrenches
  • Off-corner loading design on box end provides better grip and reduces fastener rounding
  • Thin head and beam provide greater access in confined work areas
  • Manufactured from alloy steel for better strength and longer tool life
  • Bright, full polish chrome finish easily wipes clean and resists corrosion
  • Meets or exceeds ASME and ANSI specifications

Love this Ratcheting Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set of ratcheting wrenches helps make my job so much easier because of the stubbies in the set. I can get to bolts in tight places with the stubbies and tighten and remove them with ease. I love the thickness of the wrenches they are comfy to use. The non ratcheting end of the wrench also grabs onto bolts for tighten or loosing without any problems. Definitely recommend this set for working on machinery for standard and metric use they have helped me work easier and more efficiently.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Perfect wrench set for all needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking forward to receiving this wrench set as I am a shade tree mechanic and needed a set of standard and metric wrenches both long and stubby. With some of the engine work I do, the regular or long wrenches just wont fit in the tight spaces. With the addition of stubby wrenches in this kit , there really isn't anything I cant get to anymore. The quality of the tools are great, the chrome is beautiful. I am looking forward to passing these along as well as all my GearWrench tools to my son someday. I know that they will still be beautiful and functional many years to come.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Ratcheting wrench set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If your looking for a set of ratcheting wrenches look no further! Not only does it come with the common sizes, you get a set of stubbys also! The ratcheting action on these are a lot smoother than others I have owned.

Yes, I recommend this product.

34 pc Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set PN 85034

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 34 piece Combination Ratcheting Wrench Set - Part Number 85034 I wanted to try this particular product because it has all the metric sizes from 10mm through 18mm and it included “stubby” versions. I wrench on my own car and there are times when there just isn’t enough room for a standard size wrench to be rotated. Having shorter versions gives me access to tighter spaces. This set of wrenches met my expectations. The ratcheting mechanism is well constructed. I did not experience any pawl slipping during use. As with any ratcheting mechanism, don’t apply an excessive amount of torque. It is best to break a fastener free with the open end of the wrench first and then free it with the ratcheting end. The wrenches were comfortable in use and I experienced less hand cramping and fatigue as compared to when I use cheaper wrenches with a thicker profile. Construction, Materials, and Finish The wrenches are well made with a quality finish. The contours of the wrench are designed so that your palm is comfortable while applying torque. The edges are smooth and wide enough to reduce hand fatigue during use. The finish withstood grease and moisture while in use. The tools cleaned up easily. The relief to the ratcheting portion of the box end is well machined and its mating to the wrench is very tightly aligned which helps prevent dirt and dust from easily entering. The size of the wrench is stamped on both sides. The stamping is clean and crisp on all of the wrenches and can be easily read. What These Wrenches Did For Me I recently had to change the battery in a sedan. The battery is on the driver side, tucked under the body cowling up against the fire wall. This space is too tight for a socket. A standard combination wrench will fit but requires removing the wrench after every rotation. Using the 10mm wrench, I was able to quickly loosen the fastener on the negative post. After installing the new battery, I was able to use the same wrench to quickly tighten the fastener. The ratcheting combination wrench made the job unquestionably easier compared to a standard combination wrench. These wrenches were also used to check brake caliper on a pickup. It made removing and installing the caliper bolts quick and easy. Finally, the wrenches were used to install a new toilet bowl. Toilet bowls are made of porcelain. They are held to the floor via two bolts attached to the flange in the floor. It is very important to not over tighten the nuts because it can crack the porcelain of the toilet, rendering it unusable. The ratcheting wrench was a perfect tool for this because it allowed for a rapid tightening of the nut but provided the tactile feel and feedback to prevent over tightening. Increased Productivity and Making Tedious Tasks Easier If you have never had the chance to use a ratcheting box wrench, being able to ratchet a fastener instead of having to continuously remove and rotate a standard combination wrench goes a long way to reduce frustration encountered in any job. Once you break the fastener loose, you can rapidly ratchet it free, saving yourself time. The fact that this set includes shorter “stubby” versions means you have access to tighter areas that may have previously been an exhaustive if not impossible task. The Verdict I enjoyed taking these wrenches to task. They have everything I look for in a tool as a hobby mechanic. They are well made and held up to the tasks I put them through. They cleaned up nicely after use. The finish didn’t easily chip and the ratcheting pawls held up without slipping. They appear durable and worth the investment. Who Should Use This Product? This product is perfect for the do-it-yourself-er and the beginning professional. With no skips in sizes and the inclusion of the stubby varieties makes this set extremely versatile. The wrenches included would quickly become the go-to tool for anyone working on cars. From brake jobs to battery changes, this set will enable you to tackle just about any fastener in any situation. Potential Pitfalls A very important point to note while using this style ratcheting wrench is that the wrench has to be physically swapped face to face to go from tightening to loosening. In open spaces, this is not a problem at all. However, in tight spaces where you can potentially loosen a fastener head up against something, it is possible to leave yourself no space to be able to remove the wrench to flip it. While using this style of ratcheting wrenches, if you find your fastener head approaching another object, make sure that there is room to remove the wrench. Even if you make this mistake, you can slide the wrench forward onto the shaft of the fastener and use another wrench to tighten the fastener enough to allow the other one out.

Yes, I recommend this product.
