The Gamgee Highly Absorbent Animal Wound Padding Roll is constructed of highly absorbent hospital-quality cotton wool encased in a tubular synthetic non-woven cover. The roll of non-stick wound pads is excellent for use with Robert-Jones bandages with 3M Vetrap Bandaging Tape (sold separately). Use the non-adhesive pads for wounds as a wound dressing, protective padding or for warmth/insulation. Wound dressing pads are indicated for use on horses, dogs and cats.

  • Insulation: Non-stick wound pads help keep tendons and muscles warm when exercising, eventing and traveling
  • Wound Dressing Pads: for infected and discharging wounds and protective wound padding
  • Cushioned padding protection and support for fetlocks, hocks and tendons
  • Directions for Use: Cut to required size and shape, secure with 3M Vetrap Bandaging Tape (sold separately); to avoid pressure points, do not overlap or fold
  • At known pressure points, (i.e. point of hock), cut a ""relief"" hole; if used on exudate wound, change frequently and follow standard method of wound care
  • Non-woven, low adherent cover helps prevent bandage from sticking to wound and helps keep cotton fibers out of the wound site
  • Minimizes wound disruption and provides a fiber and particle barrier
  • Highly absorbent to manage discharge
  • Strong (even when wet) protective padding gets the job done
  • Autoclavable: can be cut to size and sterilized (steam or EO)
  • Indicated for use on horses, dogs and cats
  • 100% cotton roll for a soft feel

    Very useful on hard areas to bandage.I had to bandage the front of my horse’s hock and change it every other day.

    I found this product after having 2 horses end up with leg wounds that need constant bandaging. This wrap is awesome. You can cut it to the size you need, it's got nice padding and it doesn't stick to the wounds! Definitely a must have for your first aid kit.

    Great for wrapping feet - nice padding.

    Gamgee is a great product. I use it for wrapping my horses foot when he gets an abscess. It pads the sole and holds all the gauze and poultice in place while I wrap with Coflex. I bought it when I couldn't find any BB Stars wrap which is what I had been using. This is so much better.
