[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do occasionally get a stale smell when the compressor turns off and the fan's still on. My research tells me this is a potential side effect of the unit's design and being slightly overpowered for the room, even though 8000 BTU seems to be the lower limit for through-wall units. I get a similar smell under similar circumstances with my 12,000 BTU unit in the living room and kitchen, which I believe is appropriately sized.

Great A/C, Installation Info Inadequate, Too Much Extra Stuff to Be Discarded

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The A/C is very good, much more efficient and cost-effective than the old machine it replaced. But the installation directions were unclear as to which parts were for installation in the wall sleeve, and which were only for window installation. Also, wasteful since all the
parts for window installation had to be discarded. Those parts should have been in a separate kit sold to those who intend window installation.
But bottom line, love the machine! (Also, runs quietly!)

Great smaller in the wall AC!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Frigidaire AC’s for almost 40 years. They are reliable and easy to install. I needed this new 8,000 BTU in the wall AC for a smaller guest bedroom. The room is 9’ x 11’.
It cools the room quickly and runs quiet enough not to disturb my sleep. It also looks great!

Energy-efficient with various modes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 3 Frigidaire units this spring, 2 8Ks and 1 10k which replaced the 47 year-old units in my condo. All are fairly quiet and the ECO mode is just that. Energy-efficient! The dry mode works even better to remove the humidity. The remotes also work well and are easy to use. They look great in all the rooms. I would certainly recommend them.
