Frigidaire notes that the temperature displayed on the unit is the setpoint temperature, not necessarily the actual room temperature. If your model's remote-sensing feature is enabled, the unit can use the temperature around the remote to determine when cooling is needed. Keeping the remote in the room, away from direct sunlight or other heat sources, can help provide a more representative temperature reading. If you see an AS error code, this indicates a room-temperature thermistor failure. In that case, unplug the unit for up to 30 seconds and reconnect it.
