Built like a tank. The latch works if you latch it. Some dogs escaped after their humans didn’t.....clever dogs. Feels intentionally designed so kids don’t get stuck inside. Close it properly and it’s Fort Fido.

I bought the Field & Stream Dog Kennel from TSC, and overall I’m very impressed with the build quality. It feels solid, sturdy, and well made, and it seems like it should hold up very well over time. My biggest complaint is the weight. At 77 pounds, this kennel is extremely heavy and not something you’ll want to move around often. If you need portability or expect to load it in and out of a vehicle by yourself, that is definitely something to consider. That said, if you want a tough, well-built kennel and don’t mind the extra weight, this is a great option. I’ve seen some of the negative reviews, and honestly, I’m confused if we’re even talking about the same kennel. I’m usually not a fan of retailer-exclusive products, but TSC seems to have gotten this one right. The kennel appears rugged and durable, with quality construction throughout. The interior measures 24" x 30", and my 65-pound Labrador fits comfortably with plenty of room. It also comes with two keys, and the door locks securely when needed. I made a few modifications to mine, including vent hole covers for the lower vents made from 1/8" Kydex, and I replaced the screws with tri-fold rivets. The Field & Stream badge is aluminum. I flipped mine over and made a name plate out of it for my dog "Boone". Just covered it in adhesive vinyl and had my wife use the Cricut to cut the letters for his name out. Overall, this kennel has been a very good buy for me.

Awful purchase. Dog escaped this kennel within an hour of being in it. Will not recommend, especially for 400$

I’ve done everything correctly and my dog is still breaking out of her crate and I can’t figure out how!
