At first glance this crate seems like a good buy. Sturdy, and secure for those dogs who will chew open wire crates. However, it took our dog very little time to figure out that she could open it. The mechanism for the door is fairly easy for the dog to manipulate. If you have a dog that has rocks for brain cells, this may be what you need. If your dog has a brain, then don't buy it. Other factors to consider is the weight and portability of this thing. It's freaking heavy to be plastic and if you do a lot of traveling, keep in mind you may need a 2nd person to help you manhandle it. Sure, it folds down, but it doesn't really make it a whole lot easier to get it where you need it. I don't recommend this crate.

At first glance seems to be a very well made kennel. Heavy duty and easy to assemble. My GSP broke out of it within the first day of being in it. All a dog has to do is push down on the latch and they can get it open. Super disappointed in this as it is literally advertising to people with gsp’s on the box.

During the holidays our Dog decided to break a normal simple metal cage because of the fireworks while at a family party. So we dont have money for those crazy expensive cages that have mixed reviews. So after some research found this and liked it was portable and smaller then last cage. Our dog had no issue with it and was perfect size. It does weight a hefty amount but it's manageable to even go up and down stairs while flat and pop up can be done solo but easier with 2 people. The little bolts that hold the front and back I feel are small but haven't had any issues. My biggest issue is the bracket that holds the door shut is designed that if you dog wants to open the door they just have to get a paw or claw on the bracket and move down. So only way to keep the dog from breaking out is to lock it with the key so makes it annoying to have to have key every time

With this kennel being new to the market, it was hard to make a decision on purchasing this one over the others on the market. But after research, I believe this kennel holds up to the standards of big nam brands such as gunner and impact. Its construction is extremely durable and if crash tested, I’m confident this thing would pass. Since my purchase, I’ve tested in the field and my dog loves it. It’s easy to clean as well which is another positive. With the price point at $349 this was a competitive price in comparison to a gunner at $900 for the same size… I gave a 4 star review only because of the weight of the kennel. 77 pounds feels like 100 and it’s hard to transport without a helping hand. I don’t know how F&S can fix this issue without comprising quality, but just a thought as it is super hard to move. In the future, I’d like to see F&S come out with accessories such as an insulated cover, fan mounts, etc… in the mean time, I’ll be making my own modifications.
