Feed your cockatiel, lovebird or conure 2 to 4 tablespoons every day. Adjust amount up or down accordingly to maintain proper weight. Remove leftovers and refresh the food dish daily. Always provide clean, fresh water. For optimal freshness, store in a cool, dry area before and after opening. Refrigerate for extended storage.
To prevent a digestive upset, it is best to acclimate your pet bird to the new food over a 10-day period.

As a result, it could cause weight gain or other health problems in wild birds. In addition, cockatiel seed is often packaged in large bags that are not easy for small birds to open.
