Feed your cockatiel, lovebird or conure 2 to 4 tablespoons every day. Adjust amount up or down accordingly to maintain proper weight. Remove leftovers and refresh the food dish daily. Always provide clean, fresh water. For optimal freshness, store in a cool, dry area before and after opening. Refrigerate for extended storage.
To prevent a digestive upset, it is best to acclimate your pet bird to the new food over a 10-day period.
The first three days, feed a mixture of 3/4 current food and 1/4 Encore Premium Food.The next three days, feed 1/2 current food and 1/2 of Encore Premium Food.The last three days, feed a mixture of 3/4 Encore Premium Food and 1/4 of the current diet mixture.After 10 days you can supply only Encore Premium Food to your parakeet as its main diet.
