Q: Will this dig through tree roots?

1 Answer
  • A: It can be difficult to get through tree roots, depending on the size of the roots and the size of the auger bit. Be careful when doing so. The flex-coil shock absorber helps protect you and the powerhead when you hit larger rock or roots.

Money well spent

We purchased this because we had a lot of fence and trees to put in. It seems we are always using it. Money well spent. My husband is 6' tall and I am 5'4 thought this would be a problem. But it is easy to use.

$100 per hole until Engine Failure

Initially, very easy to assemble, fill oil and gas, and minimal pulls to start.  Drilled 5 holes, 24” deep in minutes.  Engine seemed to break apart internally on next hole suddenly and smoke after shutting down.  Chewed oil and it was good.  Engine had catastrophic failure.  Checked owners manual, warranty page was lined out in TOC and skipped in manual.  No TSC is carrying these any longer in this region.  Do not buy.

No, I do not recommend this product.
