*1 lb. of DuMOR Hay Stretcher can replace 1-2 lb. of hay consumed by your horse. Feed DuMOR Hay Stretcher as recommended above, as a replacement for or supplement to other forage sources, adjusting the amount fed depending on condition desired, activity level of the horse, and the amount of other forage sources provided. DuMOR Hay Stretcher may replace up to three-quarters of the forage portion of the diet. If more than one-quarter of the forage portion of the diet is fed as hay, can reduce the amount of DuMOR Hay Stretcher by 1 lb. for every 2 lb. of hay fed. It is best to provide feed in several small meals throughout the day. DuMOR Hay Stretcher may also be used with pasture. The feeding quantities of hay, pasture and DuMOR Hay Stretcher should be adjusted according to the activity level of the animal and the desired body condition. Hard-working or lactating animals will benefit from additional concentrate feed. Always provide clean water at an appropriate temperature. Provide additional salt free-choice. If not feeding an additional fortified concentrate, offer an equine vitamin/mineral supplement. Measure feed by weight (using a scale), not by volume (scoop or container), to provide accurate amounts. Use a weight tape regularly to monitor changes in body weight. Always take 7-10 days to gradually make changes in feeding programs. Maintain a veterinarian-supervised healthcare program for all horses. Store all feed in a well-ventilated, dry area protected from insects and rodents.

Q: How can you tell when the pellets were made and when they expire?
a year ago- A: Our lot code with manufacture date will be located on the white pull strip located on the bottom of the bag that sews the bag closed. The first two numbers will indicate the year, the next 3 numbers indicate the day of the year the product was made (it is a Julian date code). The letters and numbers that follow indicate plant information. This product has a recommended fed by date of 9 months from manufacture date.a year agoHelpful?
